Uses and features
Uses Teflon conveyor belts, a microcomputer touchscreen, variable-frequency speed control and automatic belt-edge tracking. Steam and electric heating are combined in the drying and setting section, followed by forced-air cooling. Photoelectric fabric-feed monitoring maintains a slack loop. A swinging plaiting mechanism folds the fabric; a length counter measures fabric length and shrinkage. Swivel casters are included. The fabric-feeding, steaming, drying/setting and extended cooling/setting sections have a stated combined length of 6180 mm. Variable-frequency control adjusts steam extraction to process needs. Upper and lower Teflon belts press directly against the fabric. Conveyor speed is 0–40 m/min; the text separately lists a processing rate of 18–40 m/min.
